Pay the Debt

Not long ago I blogged about the Beatitude "Blessed are the Merciful." It was all about paying the debt. The idea is that mercy is not just kindness, but implies a capacity to pay the debt. You can't really be merciful unless you have the capacity to pay the debt for someone else, whether that is spiritual, financial, or some other kind of aid.

People ask me what Karma is and if we believe in it. Of course. The law of karma is similar to Einstein's third law of motion: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Basically, if you cause something, you will see the effect. However, the laws of karma are complex and deep and sometimes you don't see the effect right away or you don't understand that the cause may have come from before this lifetime. But nevertheless, every experience we go through is caused by us, and every experience is an opportunity to to pay karmic debts or add to them, or gain karmic profits. For example, when you respond to hate with Love. you gain karmic profit. When you respond to hard times with anger and hatred you further deepen your debt and the imbalance that now needs to be corrected.

Karma is not unkind. She is a teacher. She will keep coming back and giving you opportunities to learn and profit, but you need to take them and pay it off.  It's like the bills that come in the mail every month. You can pay them or ignore them. If you ignore them, there is another one coming right behind it and they start to stack up.

Money is the easiest energy exchange in which we can earn this lesson, but it is sometimes the one we think of as the least spiritual. In fact, it is deeply spiritual. Lately, God has been teaching me about debt. He has been teaching me about prosperity for a long time, and recently he asked me to look into my credit report. I have prided myself on not using credit cards and not making payments on anything. But the truth was, it was because I got into trouble a while back and my credit score was trashed so it wasn't an option for me. Then I got out of the habit.

I had been feeling nagging reminders from the spirit to fix my credit. Finally one day recently in the Hawaii temple, God said, "You need to take care of your debts. They are un-becoming of a person of your caliber."

I seriously thought I had no debts but student loans, but I decided to pay them down and see what I could learn about my credit score. Well.....let's just say that those reports don't forget anything. I found I had a lot of things I had been ignoring for years. Some small, some large. I also started to remember other personal debts I had forgotten about. It was amazing how much energy I had spent keeping those things out of my awareness. For years. When I went through and took care of them all (almost all done) I felt real chains being broken. Soo much energy was freed up, I couldn't believe it.

It was the same feeling I expressed in 2012 when I let go of another energetic exchange (child support) that was doing more harm that good for me. After I let it go, my income doubled. And eventually all my custody problems went away.

What God was showing me about debts, and about money as a form of energy, is that first of all, paying off debts is a commandment. If we don't pay down our debts, then when the time comes, we will be held back from moving forward--both financially and spiritually. This is why our prophets have repeatedly counseled us to get out of debt. It is a tie that binds. We can not enter in at the gate with all our baggage or will all our debts. Our debtors will pull us back on their chains. Even if the financial system as we know it changes and we don't even use money anymore--it won't wipe away our debts energetically. They still have to be paid.

I know that times can be hard. I've been through really hard times that seemed like they would never end. Just surviving was the issue for a while. But I also know that those were the times when I was trying to do it all on my own. When I finally trusted God and his sometimes counter-logical inspiration--that's when things started to get better. In fact, about 6 months after I gave up child support, I had another leap of faith moment when I was inspired to walk away from my hypnotherapy practice in Los Angeles and not work for a few months.

I remember that day. I prayed and put everything on the table and said, "God, what do you want me to do?" I opened my scriptures, hookum-style to D&C 111. I read the scripture: "concern not yourself about your debts, for I shall give you power to pay them." That was pretty specific. So I lept.

This was the beginning of huge changes that led to better days, both financially and on the path of destiny.  As I have progressed on that path I have let go of many things and repaired and healed a lot with the Savior's help. Then I am shown a new layer so that I can progress even more. This is just one more of those layers.

If you have debts that seem impossible to pay, just trust in the Lord and follow his counsel on what the first step is. It might be a crazy leap of faith. But energetically, you'll feel so much lighter, and that unexpected lightness will give you more power and capacity, which is how the Savior meets you and helps you pay the debt--all debts (including sleep debts, emotional debts, and deeper karmic debts, but that's for another post.)

I pray for you and bless you in your efforts.

How to Pray for World Peace

Last night I prayed to know how to pray for the whole world. Is there a special way to pray that is more effective?

Today I was let to the answer in Numbers 6.

22 ¶And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
24 The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
Will you please join me in praying for the whole world by adding these words to your prayers along with your loving intentions?

NOT the End of the World - Change the Destiny of The Planet Now

I have been quiet on the blogosphere because I have been on a learning and listening journey. Now I have a LOT to say. Some of it will be in podcasts once Andy and I start up again with Zion Consciousness.

But right now, here is the most important thing I have to say: We are currently at crossroads where we can change the destiny of our entire planet.

What does this mean? It started with a conversation with a yogi friend of mine. We were talking about the prophecies about the Aquarian Age: 50% of people will die.  90% of those left will go crazy. Those of us who are not crazy will have be the light houses to help everyone else. Somehow we eventually get to the 1000 years of peace.

Having 50% of the world die felt very heavy to him. He suggested that there must be another way. And I realized he is right. There is another way! We don't have to go through all the biblical war and plaques and tribulation, we can just skip it and create a Zion society right now.

In fact, the entire message and intention of the Book of Mormon is meant to help us avoid their fate. We are the only generation that we know will not dwindle into apostasy again but will establish Zion. So either way, we are going to get to Zion. As far as the tribulation on the way there, you can chose now if you want that to happen or not. It is all dependent on your consciousness.
Bob Marley understood Zion. I love his song Iron Lion Zion.

What do I mean by a consciousness? I mean we attract what we believe. Our reality is as we perceive it. Quantum physics has proven that what we can imagine is what the universe looks like.

This is why there is still a drought in California. Too many people have bought into the drought consciousness and are not praying for rain. They all talk. whine, strategize about the drought, and yet no one is praying or fasting for rain. They are creating more of what they don't want by focusing on it.  There is power in prayer and fasting and intention. I'll just say it: it rains every time I pray for rain--but only in about a 30-50 mile radius around me. I know I am not the only one with super powers. Most people have them, they just have to activate them with belief and faith. Then remember to use them.

It's the same with with all this end-of-days stuff. There is a huge consciousness among certain groups of Mormons right now who believe that within the next year or two the world as we know it will fall apart--they are anticipating that the financial market will crash, we'll be invaded by Russia, and that all the good Mormons will all flee for safety to tent cities and live on food storage with our self-righteous selves while the rest of the world blows up....

While this could happen.... it could also NOT happen. If you want it to happen just so you can be right and go through a lot of tribulation because you feel you must--then that is what the universe will send you.

However, what is being offered right now is another way.

But what about all the prophecies you ask? How can we change what is prophesied? I'll tell you. A prophesy can be interpreted many different ways, as can scripture. If you think there is only one interpretation of scripture you haven't looked deeper. With prophesies about future events, there is always room for change based on people's agency. For example, the prophesy I mentioned above about the Aquarian Age--it could play out another way and still be fulfilled: 50% of people could kill their carnal natures and be reborn as saints. Then 90 % will go crazy with love for Kundalini Yoga and the teachings of Jesus Christ. The rest of us will be teachers. Nice huh!

How about the people who are saying that Russia is going to invade Seattle? Well did you know that Kundalini Yoga is EXPLODING in Russia. When my teacher does trainings over there, he packs in close to 1000 people. So that prophesy (or dream or whatever) could be fulfilled another way too. Here is how it could go down: Half the Russian yogis will realize that they need to go to American and help spread the joy of Kundalini yoga in America. They will "invade" us with mantra loving destorying of illusions kind of warfare. Seriously. It could go down any way and still be fulfilled.

Last summer I had some very detailed visions about a match that God was preparing for me-- a very good man. The visions were very specific. But just to be sure, I asked God if this was a symbolic vision or a vision that I should interpret literally. I was led to believe that it was literal. However, about 6 months later I realized that in fact, it was symbolic, and there was a different match for me entirely. At first, it was hard for me to change gears when I had been preparing for one thing, but in fact, the new thing was much more orchestrated for my happiness. But even that could change again.

Visions are very real and visceral and often we can think we know the interpretations of them, but sometimes they change--especially if they involve other people--and we need to be open to new visions or new interpretations of them. This includes people who have had near death experiences. These people don't know more than you because the have "died." The fact is, when people have such experiences, they are taken to the places and shown the things that will help them learn the most. And they are usually not enlightened people. Most are flawed and still learning how to interpret visions. In the book Visions of Glory, "Spencer" even says at the end of the book that he later realized that some things he thought were literal were actually symbolic and other things he thought were symbolic were literal. When I read that book God told me:"This is not your vision. Get your own vision."

There are some who will say, "but God inspired me to stock up on food storage." Okay, good for you. If so, then do it, (they have been telling us for years to do it--it's all about obedience) but do it with grace and not with fear. This brings me to the topic I just blogged about. It is about God and You. You and God. Are One.

So if God and You are One, then technically, you told yourself to buy more food storage. Because God meets you where you are at. As you get out of the first and second chakra, God in you will inspire you to do different things. I have had zero inspiration on buying tents and food storage. [I already have a tent and God is teaching me how to one day live without food--like the non-eating saint] My instructions have been all about publishing peace, and teaching LOVE and unity.

So, I am boldly calling everyone to awaken and repent of their silliness (the part about wanting the world to blow up). Don't use your hopes (or fears) of the Second Coming as a retirement plan. Nor is it a good get-out-of-debt strategy. Spend less energy organizing your food storage and spend it healing your first and second chakra survival issues so you can then help others heal. One enlightened whole human being full of love and charity can elevate over 100.000 people just with their presence. It won't take much. It won't be as hard as you may have once believed. Join me...

As my friend Nicole pointed out, sometimes when we are in a place of fear it is impossible to see anything different--but you can always pray for a miracle and ask your perception to be changed. I invite you to join me in this miracle and build Zion here now.

You Are God

I am God

For a long time I have been using language like "God told me to xyz." It's true, God and I, we talk. S/He talk and I listen and vice versa. But what I have been really trying to understand lately (not just intellectually) is that God and I are One.  I have been trying to dissolve any difference between God and me.

The resistance to this comes when I realize that if I do this, I must take responsibility, for everything. "God told me to" becomes "I told me to." I can't blame God or begrudge the inspiration, or drag my feet on what God wants because we are ONE. I told myself to come to Utah for the summer and build bridges. I shortened my sleep cycles. I am upgrading my body one organ at a time.

I think a lot of people blame God or Satan (whoever is bigger in their world at the moment) for whatever is going on with them, good or bad. But what we forget is that we are Gods. And the whole Kingdom of God is within us.

The kicker is that we are Gods even when we are not one with God. Remember what Jesus told the Pharisees when they were wanting to stone him for saying he was the son of God: Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? (John 10:34)  He was talking to to people who weren't getting it--and who eventually planed his murder--but they were still Gods. And so are you.

The next kicker is that God commanded, "have no other Gods before me." So in order to keep that commandment, we must become One with God. Any time we put our will first, we are putting another God first. And we are creating everything in our lives. We can't blame Satan. We are God. If Satan has power over us, it is because we gave it to him.

Of course, we have choice in all this and we were given a will to experiment with and learn with. But we were given that will to find God's will. And it's so beautiful when we finally just do (The Luxury Liner). When I am in the flow with this, I AM all the attributes of God. When I am not One, I feel it in my body. It is a tension. Tightness. I am learning to watch for the signs in my body now, beautiful kingdom, which responds so viscerally to being out of alignment to the great I AM.

Getting To Know The Prostitute

When most people think of prostitution they think of selling sex for money, which isn't a super common problem among my readers, but the prostitute archetype is alive and well in most of the people I meet. I have been wanting to write about this for a long time. I guess because I really like to make people uncomfortable.  Here is what Carolyn Myss says about the Prostitute Archetype in her book Sacred Contracts.

The Prostitute thrives most bountifully in subtle ways and in ordinary circumstances. it comes into play most clearly when our survival is threatned. Its core issue is hw much you are willing to sell of yourself--your morals, your integrity, your intellect, your word, your body, or your soul--for the sake of physical security. The Prostitute acrchetype also dramatically embodies and tests the power of faith. If you have faith, no one can buy you. You know that you can take care of yourself and that also that the Divine is looking out for you. Without faith, however, you will eventually meet the price you cannot turn down.

The majority of prostitutes I meet are people in jobs they hate or in toxic marriages, but stay for economic reasons. People stay in jobs that make them miserable, physically sick, violate their ethics and more. They stay in friendships long after they have grown cold because the association gets them something. They don't break up with a boyfriend becuase they have a trip planned to Mexico--and what if there is no one better. What if I'm alone? Prostitution  shows up in the way people shape their conversations with others. For example, telling your boss his idea is brilliant even though you think it is crap becuase you hope it will get you somehwere with him, or you are afraid of what it might cost you to be honest. People allow others to use them and their time becuase they hope it will get them something-- for example, the guy who stays after work for hours unpaid becuase he hopes he will make partner. Or the woman who spends lots of time doing servicey-type projects because she doesn't want to lose social status. Or the woman (or man) who wears clothing that makes them look like they are for sale when they know it will get them "the cute girl discount." There are about a million more examples.

We all have a prostitite archetype. When unexamined, it looks like the above. When you confront your inner prostitute, it can turn into a gaurdian of faith for you. It can alert you to situations where you need to exercise your faith and walk away.

The truth is that everything in life will create situations for you to confront this shadow. You will draw all kinds of people who try to buy you, use you, or pollute you, no matter how holy you are, you will still have these opportunites.

When Jesus was fasting in the wilderness for 40 days Satan came and offered him everything in the whole world in exchange for the power Jesus had within him. Every step on your journey to elevation you will meet someone who will try to buy or use you and render you less powerful. Carolyn Myss suggests that these will be some of your most painful relationships because you will have to confront fears of survival, which are usually terrifying and humiliating. But wahe guru for those opportunites.

Breakfast at Tiffany's - both prostitites.
Many of the prostititutes I meet talk about the big break that will hopefully someday come and make all their dreams come true (which will allow them to stop being prostitutes). Many of them begin on the meditation journey with dreams of what it will give them (the perfect job, perfect house, car, soul mate relationship, etc.) and when it doesn't happen in 40 or 90 days they loose interest, feel cheated or think a different meditation would be better.

Human nature tends to look for short cuts. And although Kundalini Yoga is fast, the shortcut mentality will not help you get there. In fact, it will show you down starting over again and again. The truth is, it takes the exact same amount of energy to be on the spiritual path for the long haul as it does to be on the neurtotic or anxiety or prosititute path. The exact same amount of energy. Why then doesn't everyone choose the spiritual path? Why doesn't everone rise in the abrosial hours and give 10% of the their day to God? Becuse the neurotic path has more immediate gratification of something happening, even if it is not positive, and the mind is drawn to the immediate.

I used to be on the neurotic path. Lets be real, I used to live as a prostitite - we all have--or still do. Most of us were raised by prostitutes and went to school and to church with many of them and didn't know any better.

But it's time to shift. Let's stop this prostitute thing and learn to trust in God. We need to learn to live in royalty and dignity no matter the circumstances. I have a friend who was trying to quit her job to stay home with her children and every time she would try to quit, they would offer her something else, or they would take advantage of her accomodating nature to push back the dates or get her to work from home. When she described her awakening in the midst of her struggle to trust God, she said she felt like she was gripping the edge of a cliff for dear life and then noticed that the ground was only two inches below her feet. All she had to do was let go and put her feet down.

For me, the real kicker is ther: Why sell yourself when you are already bought and paid for by Jesus Christ?

"Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men." (1 Corinthians 7:23)

There is no need to worry. Your Heavenly Father and Divine Mother will care for you.

There is a great story in Autobiography of a Yogi that I would love to relate to you about two young men who were challenged to put this faith in Divine Father and Mother to a test: they are sent to a city about 75 miles away by train without a penny and are told that they cannot beg or tell anyone about their situation. They cannot skip any meals. They are to return by train to Agra before midnight. It's an amazing story - If you have read it you know what I am talking about. If not, I recommend it. Heaven provides for them in the most miracluous and princely ways. You can listen to just that story from Chapter 11 of the book here.

As Yogi Bhajan has said, you can swim across the river and struggle with it, or you can go in a luxury liner. Even if the liner doesn't seem luxurious, it is still grace. Take the liner.

Mind Blowing Imagery Weekend

What I got to do last week: I got to train and learn from and share mind blowing experiences with all these people. Every time I do an imagery training it's pretty epic in the true sense of that word. This time was no exception. See that blank spot in the picture? It's King David.
Everyone there received major healing or expansion and all now have new lifelong friends. It is difficult to explain what happens in a three day Christ- centered imagery training. Sometimes after three days of it, people get a little drained form all the spiritual awakening. So that's why at the end of day 2 we had a spontaneous laughing induction. Then we had a planned laughing induction on day 3. It works just as well once you get those belly laughs going.

I snuck this video:

This is how I sometimes imagine Zion. A big happy slumber party.
